Uses for Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken:
– Pizza: Spread buffalo sauce over pizza dough and top with your favorite shredded cheeses (pepper jack is great for this), top with buffalo chicken and red onion, if desired. Bake based on the directions for the pizza dough and enjoy.
– Wraps: Buffalo chicken makes excellent wraps. In the center of a large tortilla, add buffalo chicken, shredded cheddar cheese or blue cheese crumbles, lettuce, finely chopped celery, tomatoes, and ranch or blue cheese dressing. Roll and serve with chips or fries.
– Dip: You can also use this chicken to create a delicious dip. Mix the buffalo chicken with 8 ounces cream cheese, 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, and 1 cup ranch dressing and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. The ingredients will create a spicy, yet creamy dip that is perfect for French bread or tortilla chips.
– Baked Buffalo Cheese Bread: Want a bread that eats more like a meal? Cut a loaf of French bread in half and spread each half with half a mixture of a stick of softened butter, 1 cup ranch dressing, and 2 to 3 cloves of minced garlic. Add your shredded buffalo chicken and top each half with 1 cup of your favorite shredded cheese. Bake at 350 degrees until golden brown and bubbly.
– Buffalo Poppers: Love jalapeno poppers? Make them with cream cheese and finely chopped buffalo chicken. It’s a great combination of two of the best appetizers.
– Calzones: Stuff pizza dough from the grocery store with shredded buffalo chicken and cheese. Roll out a small circle, add your chicken and cheese and fold over. Bake until golden brown and dip in ranch. YUM!
– Nachos: Love nachos? Top warmed tortilla chips with buffalo chicken, nacho cheese, and jalapeno slices. Drizzle with more buffalo sauce and ranch dressing. It’s a great new way to enjoy nachos!
– Taquitos: Another great way to use buffalo chicken in Mexican food is to cut the buffalo chicken into strips and then wrap each strip in a small corn tortilla. Deep fry and serve with ranch or blue cheese dressing.
– Salads: A very simple way to use slow cooker buffalo chicken is on top of a salad. This is much healthier than using fried chicken, but packs a lot of flavor.
– Buffalo Chicken Lasagna: Lay flour tortillas with buffalo chicken, cream cheese, blue cheese, Colby-jack shredded cheese, and ranch dressing. It’s a great surprise that your family won’t be expecting.
– Stuffed Baked Potatoes: Stuff baked potatoes with buffalo chicken and top with blue cheese crumbles and chopped green onions. Yum!
