ACK! Back to school is HERE. We have one more week before it is back to the grind for us. I must admit that Evan and I are both ready for school to be back in session. He is excited to see his friends and I am excited to have my days back to work. Working right now is riddled with incessant questions about which Pokemon is stronger. I never get those right. There are a few back to school things I am NOT looking forward to.
Laundry: I swear Evan only changed clothes 10 times the entire summer. He seemed to always be wearing the same clothes every single day. Now he’ll need to actually wear clean clothes. Sigh. So…the incessant laundry cycle is coming.
We’re lucky that Evan wears a uniform to school. I try my best to keep it looking good. There’s nothing worse than having to replace something mid-year. For some you add in the extra-curricular activity clothing…hello hockey jerseys and ballet leotards! These items are pricey so it’s important to care for them properly. What are the odds these items will make it through the school year?
Option 1: beg and plead with your kids to treat these items with care (good luck!). Option 2: Equip yourself with a killer laundry arsenal. Stock up on OxiClean™ Colour Shield Liquid Laundry Stain Remover, it keeps colours looking their brightest. Then use OxiClean™ White Revive™ Stain Remover Powder for your whites. It’s specially formulated to maintain whites – without chlorine bleach! For inevitable stains, turn to OxiClean™ Laundry Stain Remover Spray andOxiClean™ Max Force™ Gel Stick to pre-treat in advance.
Cavities: Before you know it, Halloween will be here and the Holidays are not far behind. Let’s get real…it’s the start of a regular diet of candy and chocolate for the little ones. Brushing their teeth will be key. Make it fun with Arm & Hammer™ Spinbrush™ Kids Battery Toothbrush with designs such as My Little Pony™ and Paw Patrol™. You’ll have half a chance of ACTUALLY getting them to brush their teeth.
Colds: Classrooms are a petri-dish of kid germs. If they would STAY in the classroom I wouldn’t care so much but they always make it home to make ME sick. Both Evan and I will be re-upping our vitamin intake to keep the germs at bay.
Aches and pains: I am getting old. It’s a fact. Who knew how much of your body you could sprain? We’ve started using RUB·A535™ Extra Strength Heating Cream for those muscle aches and pains. I like that I can treat right where the pain is instead of taking a generic pain reliever.
Lunches: Don’t get me started on the incessant lunch routine. Why is it so hard? Things that my child will eat every single day in the summer, he will not even CONSIDER for his lunch box.
Regardless of the few things I am not looking forward to, I’m pretty glad it is back to school time. What are you looking forward to or not?
