Why Cake Mix?
Sometimes, people snub the idea of cake mixes… but trust me when I say: they’re so underrated! Cake mix offers comfort and consistency: they’re constantly moist and flavorful, and are easy (and quick!) to prepare.
This is why I love using cake mix for my easy peach cobbler recipe. It’s consistent and so much easier to whip-up!
What Ingredients Do I Need to Make Cake Mix Peach Cobbler?
You’ll need the following ingredients for this luscious dessert:
- Frozen peaches
- Light brown sugar
- Cornstarch
- Lemon juice
- Ground cinnamon
- Cake mix
- Unsalted butter

How To Make a Peach Cobbler Out of a Cake Mix
Okay, here’s the moment you’ve all been waiting for! I am proud to present my easy-to-follow recipe for Cake Mixer Peach Cobbler.

Ingredients for Filling
- 16 oz frozen peaches
- 1/3 cup light brown sugar
- 1.5 tsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
Ingredients for Topping
- 1 16.25 ounce box vanilla or white cake mix
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 14 Tablespoons unsalted butter-cut into 30 pieces
Equipment
- 9×13 pan
- Large bowl
- Wooden spoon or spatula

Yield: 8 servings
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and your baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. Set aside.
In a large bowl, combine peaches, brown sugar, corn starch, lemon juice and cinnamon.


Pour peach mixture into coated pan.

In a separate bowl, combine cake mix and ground cinnamon. Sprinkle over the pan of peaches.

Top off with pieces of cut butter, taking care to space them evenly.

Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until golden and bubbly.
Notes
At the 20 minute mark, turn the pan. Take a look if there are any dry spots and if so, add additional pieces of butter.
At the 40 minute mark, turn once more and check again for dry spots. If there are, add more butter.
If necessary, let bake an additional 5 mins.
If you prefer a juicy cobbler add canned peaches in syrup!
If you don’t favor a thick cobbler crust you can use 3/4 of the mix vs the entire bag.
