Calgary Birthday Party Venues

4Cats Arts Studio – Themes include Paint Splatter, Pop Art, Fairy, Knight, Pirate and many more for both adults and kids. Locations in Airdrie, Cochrane, Inglewood, Edgedale Drive, Evanston, Killarney and Montgomery (links are to each location’s party page). Read a complete review of a Paint Splatter Party here! 5 Elements Martial Arts Parties start at $245 for 12 children and includes 1 hour of martial art instruction (includes drills, games, and learning to break boards) and 45 minutes in a party room. You can purchase favours such as karate belts or lessons, and the cake can be cut with a samurai sword! Parents are required to bring in all food and cake.

Absolute Baseball Academy – Parties are $275 from December-March and $225 April-November. The party includes two hours with pitching machines, t- ball stands and balls, a throwing game with an inflatable pitching target, pizza and more.

Absolute Dance – $275 for a 45-minute ballet or hip hop class for up to 10 dancers ages 4-14 (including birthday child) as well as 45 minutes in a party room. Includes themed party plates, Absolute Dance swag for the birthday child, etc.

Altadore Gymnastics Club – An hour of gymnastics and games lead by a certified coach, plus 45 minutes in the party room. Prices start at $260 for 1-8 kids.

Ambition Performing Arts – Located in Airdrie. Dance parties for ages 3 – 10 start at $200.for an hour of instruction or $250 for an hour of instruction and an hour for gifts. You can also have a princess visit the party for an additional $50.

ATCO Blue Flame Kitchen – Cooking parties for ages 9 – 14. Party themes include pizza, pasta, high tea, Mexican, and Harry Potter. $40 per child plus GST charge (minimum 10 children, maximum of 16) with an additional $2 per cake cutting fee if you bring it in from outside (must be store bought and receipt is required). Two parent volunteers required.

Battlefield Live –  Airsoft, Nerf Wars and Laser Tag parties available. Click on each type to be taken to that specific page as party cost and age range varies widely based on type.

The Beach YYC – The Beach YYC offers kids birthday parties that include sand toys, a games advisor, and of course the beach for your party. Afterward, hang out at our picnic area for cake. You have to contact The Beach YYC for a quote for party pricing.

Beaners – Parties include hair, make-up, and manicures for guests. Prices and availability depend on the location.

Black Dog Bakery – Choose from a Cookie, Cupcake or Cake Decorating Party that comes to you. Parties start at $200 for a 90-minute party for up to 8 guests.

B-Line Indoor Bike Park – Parties start at $24 per child ($14 for kids from 4 – 7-years-old) without bike rental. The party includes 3 hours of bike park use, 3 hours of party area use and 5-minute park orientation. Minimum charge for the party is $150 and must be done in one transaction.

Bow Habitat Station – Parties start at $190 plus tax for up to 25 guests ages 2 and up. This price includes a private party room, Discovery Centre admission for a maximum of 25 guests, hands-on, staff-led activities and gift for the birthday child. You can also add an optional goodie bag. Food and beverages are not provided. You can read my review of parties at the Bow Habitat Station here!

Bowling Depot – Parties start at $25.99 per child (12 and under only, adult supervision required) which includes bowling, shoe rental, food for kids at the party (adults order from the menu) and party room. Bumper bowling is available for kids less than 10 years old.

Bowview Outdoor Pool – Private pool rental with a lifeguard is $100 for less than 25 people, and $115 for 25 – 50 people. Use of toys, stereo system, and BBQ is included. (Prices need to be verified once pool re-opens next summer)

Breathe Parkour – Generally, their parties are for ages 6 and over but parties for kids 3-5 can be arranged for an additional fee. Packages start at $299 for a 40-minute class, free time in the gym, adrenaline challenge and a party room (2 hours total). If you are open to weekday parties, they have a “mini-party” available for $219.99.

Bricks 4 Kidz – Their Lego parties can come to your house (starting at $225), OR you can go to Renfrew Hanger Workz ($350 for 10 kids) or select Boston Pizza locations ($450 for 10 kids). Check out my complete review of parties at the Bricks 4 Kidz creativity centre here!

Brilliant Beginnings – Parties start at $199 including 1½ hrs for up to 10 children (ages 1-4) including supervised free play stations (sensory, pretend, creative, craft etc.) and circle time (songs, group activities and a story). There are 8 themes to choose from. Additional party packages are available for maximum customization of your party.

Brite Studios – Dance parties start at $195. 2 hours is included (45-minute class, 1 hour for cake and present opening, and 15 minutes for clean up). You can choose a theme for your party. Popular themes include Dancing Diva, Hip Hop Holla, and Dancing Princess. No parties available in July & August.

Build-a-Bear – Birthday party options start at $12 per child up to $49 per guest for their ultimate party. The Ultimate Party includes 1 furry friend for each Guest (value up to $37) plus 1 clothing item, 1 footwear item, 1 sound, and a drawstring backpack.

Butterfield Acres – Parties at the farm are available from April to September (parties at your home are available year round). Packages include animal- feeding, pony rides, wagon rides and goat-milking lessons. Prices start at $209.99 + GST for 8 kids and 3 adults. Check out my review of Butterfield Acres parties! Butterfield Acres Mini-Farm – For $259, the farm will come to your house year-round (garages are suggested). You can book a petting zoo, a mini bunny petting zoo or a pony for pony rides. Calaway Park – A minimum of 8 guests are required to book their Come As You Are party starting at $189 + GST. This includes unlimited rides, birthday hats and prizes for all guests, and a storage room for cake and presents. Catering is optional.  Book their Calaway’s Birthday Club House party for 10 ppl starting at $339 + GST. Includes private clubhouse for 1 hour, pizza & pop and admissions for 10 people. Calgary Climbing Centre – 4 locations in Calgary. Parties start at $17 per person for an hour of climbing, with a 4:1 staff/climber ratio. For an additional $25, you can rent the party room for 45 minutes after you climb (Chinook and Stronghold locations only). The Hanger location looks awesome – it has beanstalks to climb. Their parties are at the top of the party page and are $240+GST for 8 participants.

Calgary Corn Maze – Parties start at $12.95 per person for a minimum of 10 people. Includes all standard corn maze attractions and a gift for the birthday child. Food can be provided, and a party tent can be booked if you want to guarantee a covered shelter for your group. We have a variety of non-covered picnic areas available at no charge on a first come-first serve basis for parties to use. Full-service parties start at $210 for up to 10 people.

Calgary Gymnastics Centre – Gymnastics parties start at $275 for 15 kids with one coach, party room and a t-shirt for the birthday child. Kids under 4 must be accompanied by an adult.

Calgary Hitman – Parties start at $320 for 10 Hitman tickets and choice of menu to enjoy in private party room. Prices vary based on menu chosen.

Calgary Humane Society – For ages 6 – 13. Parties include 2 hours in the party space, a craft, games, an animal visitor, juice boxes, plates, napkins, cups and karma points for supporting the shelter. Basic parties start at $210+GST. You can add more time, pizza, paintable planters, drawstring bags or wristbands.

Calgary Safety Council – The Pedestrian Safety program can be booked for birthday parties for $7 per child. It’s for kids from 4 – 6 and runs April – June and September – October.

Calgary Taekwondo Academy – Parties are 1.5 hours and include a martial arts lesson, games and activities, invitations, and decorations for up to 15 kids.

Calgary Zoo – Packages start at $325 including up to 25 admissions (includes all kids/parents/guests). Parties include a private room and 3 activities. One will be an animal learning activity and 2 of the following:  games, crafts, tour, cake & presents time, food, or an animal visit(extra charge). Check out my review of a Calgary Zoo party and a Penguin party!

Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame – $250 buys you admission and loot bags for 18 guests, plus a 2-hour reservation in the cafe. An age-appropriate scavenger hunt is available upon request. Check out my review of parties at Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame!

Century Bowling – Bowling parties at Century Bowling start at $135 for 6 kids. It includes 1 hour of bowling, shoe rental, 1 hot dog and bag of chips each and 1 jug of pop. Blacklight Bowling is $149 and includes the same things as the regular party as well.

Century Mini Golf – Mini golf parties start at $117 for 5 kids. Includes party room for 1 hour before or after golfing, 1 hot dog and bag of chips per kid, 1 jug of pop and water, and one round of mini golf. Glow mini golf and mini golf and bowling packages available.

Canuckles MMA – Parties include a Kids Mixed Martial Arts class as well as a Nerf gun battle for a total of 2 hours. Outside food, cake, etc can be brought in for the party. Call for pricing.

Canyon Meadows Cinemas – Parties start at $13.50 per child for movie admission and kid’s snack pack (popcorn, drink and treat). A private party room is available at $30 per hour (max 12 people for a minimum of 1 hour).

Chinook Bowladrome – Parties start at $16 per child for an hour of bowling, shoe rentals and a gift for each child. For $17 per child, 45 minutes in a party room can be added. Food can also be added to your party for an additional charge.

Chinook School of Music – Instructors come to you with music games and crafts, instrument play, and kazoos for all attendees. For ages 6 months – 7 (though some party themes are for ages 3-7). Parties start at $175. Themes include Music Kids Birthday Party (6 months – 5), Pirate Party (3-7), Beach Party (3-7), Royal Ball Party (under 7).

Chuck E Cheese – Parties include food, tokens for games, a turn in the ticket blaster for the birthday child and your own personal party host (who cuts the cake and helps out with anything needed). Parties start at $19.99 per child.

Cineplex Popcorn Parties for ages 13 and under. Standard parties include reserved seating at a movie, kid’s popcorn, drink, reserved theatre seating, and a host. Prices vary depending on theatre location chosen. Premium parties include standard party items plus a private party room. Consider booking the Cineplex Clubhouse in Easthills for even more fun (they have a play area). Just choose that location when you book. Xbox gaming parties are also available – you get a private auditorium to game in on the big screen outside of normal movie hours.

City of Calgary Arts Centres – Parties are tailored to your taste and can include art, dance, or drama activities at either the Wildflower Arts Centre or the North Mount Pleasant Arts Centre for kids 4 years old and up. See the post on a real Wildflower Arts Centre party.

Clay for Kids – Choose from several types of parties: clay-building, clay building plus & glazing, pottery wheel boot camp plus fused glass project, fused glass, paint and go or glaze. Ages 4 and up. Parties start at $170. Options also available for the party to come to you.

Cobb’s Adventure Park and Corn Maze – Summertime parties include park admission, extra activities such as kangaroo petting zoo and bouncers, food, a party tent or table, balloons, and a host for up to 10 attendees (including parents). Prices start at $310.

Color Me Mine – Ceramic painting parties start at $289+tax for up to 10 artists with an hour and 45 minutes in their party room. You can also choose a glass fusion party or a canvas painting party.

Colour on Fire Art Studio – Party options include pottery painting, canvas painting, ARTware and glass fusion parties (glass fusion for kids 7 and up). Parties start at $26 per child with a minimum of 8 kids with a maximum of 16 or 24 depending on party type chosen.

Crescent Point Regional Fieldhouse in Okotoks – I know this isn’t “officially” in Calgary but our friends in South Calgary tell me it is a hot birthday party venue. Parties are for kids ages 3 and up. Choose between Nerf Capture the Flag (ages 7+), Themed Party (5 choices for ages 3-5), Themed Parties (5 choices for ages 6-8), Themed Parties (2 choices for ages 8-12) or Cooking Parties. Parties start at $195 for 12 kids.

Crock a Doodle -Party Pricing is per child, based on the pottery piece(s) selected, plus a $25 private room fee.
Pricing includes pottery project, paints, glazing, and kiln-firing – as well as a dedicated hostess, a commemorative handprint plate, and $5 for each guest to redeem on a future studio class or Friday Fun Night. Pottery options include art tiles, animals, etc starting at $20 per child.

Dance with France – Ages 4 and up, you choose the style of dance. $195 for an hour of instruction and an hour in a party room for up to 14 guests. Parties available on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday only.

Decidedly Jazz Danceworks – Parties include 1-hour dance class + 1 hour in the lounge before or after for up to 10 kids. Cost starts at $200 plus tax.

Deerfoot Inn Kids Pool Party – Parties are $22.95 per child and include a1-hour swim and lunch at the Mohave Grill (from the kids menu) and cake. Parties available on Saturdays and Sundays.

Enchanted Events – Themed party rooms and entertainment for boys and girls parties including Enchanted Forest Fairy PartyPrincess Tea Party, SPAtacular SPASuperhero TrainingDINOrific Party, or Little Monsters. Parties start at $225.

Engineering for Kids – Parties start at$225 and include one 60 minute Engineering Activity for up to 10 children ($10/additional child), one or two staff members to run the Engineering activity and an Engineering for Kids T-shirt for the birthday boy or girl. Parties can be in your home or at the Engineering for Kids facility. Longer parties allow for additional add-on activities and can be reserved for an additional cost. Choose from 9 engineering party activities and 6 add-on activities.

Epic Fencing -Parties include 2 hours of time including  90 minutes fencing class and 30 minutes for eating cake, opening presents, etc. Parties are $280 for up to 10 people including the use of the facility, all equipment rental costs, and certified Epic instructor. Parties for ages 8+.

Fire Escape – Package price range depends on the type/size of figurine painted. Birthday wishes tile for birthday child included in party packages. No studio fee is charged for the birthday person.

Fire Station Tours – Book a tour of your local station to meet firefighters and learn about the equipment they use. Kids (4 and up) receive a free fire safety activity book at the end of every tour. Tours should be booked 6 weeks in advance and can take up to 3 weeks to confirm. Tours are only available at 10 a.m., 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Check out this post all about Fire Station parties in Calgary.

FitKids  – Parties start at $200 for 10 kids for a 2-hour party. Includes 45 minutes in a private party room, peanut-free snacks provided by you.

Flames Community Arenas – You can rent ice time at the arenas, starting at $108.36 per hour for non-prime- time.

Flip Factory – Gymnastics birthdays in the main gym starting at $350 for 15 kids, toddler parties at the tot spot, ninja warrior parties (starting at $325 for 15 kids) and sleepover parties (up to 25 kids at $65 per child).

Flying Squirrel – Parties starting at $240 for 10 children for 2 hours of trampoline jumping, water and use of the party room Mon-Thur. Party prices for Fri-Sun are higher. There are additional party options and price points depending on what you choose.

Gem Veranda – Beading parties. Packages start at $20 per child for a bracelet, with a minimum of 8 kids. A pair of sterling silver earrings is included for the birthday child as well. DIY kits are also available for $15 to pick up for birthday party activities at your home party.

Giggles and Glam Salon – Themed parties start at $350 for 10 kids. Themes include Pajama Jam, Pirates & Princesses, Beach Luau, Splendid Spa, Glitz and Glam, Glow Dance Party and more. Includes cupcakes, juice, party hosts, group photo and party favours.

Granary Road – Summer parties start at $299 + GST and include admission to the Active Learning Park, 45 minutes in a party room, an “inside the fences” petting zoo tour and one $25 gift certificate for the Granary Road Gift Shop for the birthday child.

Gymtastics – An hour of games and gymnastics with a certified instructor, plus an hour in the kitchen area upstairs for $320 + GST (up to a maximum of 20 children for a total of 2 hours) for kids ages 1-16. Check out this review of parties at Gymtastics!

The Hangar Flight Museum (Formerly Aero Space Museum of Calgary) – Parties include a private room and access to the Museum for $145 for up to 15 people. Check out my review of parties at the Aerospace Museum of Calgary here!

Heritage Park – The Birthday party package for groups up to ten is $370 + GST includes admission to Gasoline Alley and Historical Village. This includes wagon ride, steam train, S.S. Moyie paddlewheel, antique midway rides plus two hours at the private banquet facility. One of three menus can be chosen for catering. Tea Party and Teddy Bear Picnic themed parties are also available. Download full details.

Hide n Seek – Parties start at $315 for 10 kids and include admission, private room rental for 90 minutes, pizza or hot dogs, 20 game credits per kid, juice or pop, visit from a mascot and all paper goods.

Highwood Outdoor Pool – You can rent the entire pool for just $80 / hour (for less than 50 people). You get lifeguards, pool toys, and use of the BBQ. (Prices need to be verified once pool re-opens next summer)

Horsin’ Around – Horsin’ Around has options for a pony party (Ages 2-8), Horse Party (Ages 8 and up) or Sleigh Ride Parties (weather permitting). Pony Parties and Sleigh Ride Parties start at $250 and Horse Parties start at $350. Catering can be added for an additional charge. All parties start at 11 am or 130 pm on Saturday and Sundays.

Inglewood Bird Sanctuary – Party options are: Bird Day, Nature Investigators and Weird & Wonderful Wetlands. Parties are $200 for a maximum of 20 kids including 1.5 hours nature activities + 1 hour use of party room (2.5 hours total).

Inglewood Aquatic Centre – Pool parties are available including three slides, poolside climbing wall and a selection of toys. A poolside party room for up to 20 guests. One hour in the pool and one hour in the poolside party room is included for $169.05 + GST.

Injanation – Parties start at $179 for 90 minutes of playtime, 45 minutes of party room time and trampoline socks on Mon-Thurs for 10 guests. Weekend or holiday parties start at $229. Catering is available for an additional charge. Make sure to check out their new teen and tween parties.

Jelly Modern Doughnuts – Parties are $395 for 10 people. It includes birthday cake, snacks (doughnut sandwiches, mac and cheese or chicken fingers), goodie bags, crafts and games for your guests.

Jewish Community Centre – Parties start at $191 for use of half the gym and plus party room. Parties are only available on Sundays. There are also options for the full party room and an indoor playground. You can also rent the lanes in the pool. More info on their booking request form.

Joso’s Play & Learn Centre – Parties are for kids 1 – 6 years old. 2-hour birthday parties include admission for up to 8 children (incl. B-day Child) for $124.99. Add food (pizza and juice) for a party total of $164.99. Semi-private parties are available at an additional cost.

Jumble District – Located in Airdrie – Parties start at $230 for a weekday party with a reserved table for up to 10 kids. Includes 2 hours of fun at Jumble District plus unlimited play after, 2 hours of a reserved table, 10 bottles of water, 2 adult admissions free and plates, napkins, cups, etc. Parties for weekends, private party rooms, with food etc are available at a higher price.

Jumping Jellies – One hour parties start at $150 for 5-10 kids. Pick from 8 themes. Hula Hoop parties (include making your own hula hoop) start at $200 for a 1-hour party for 5-10 kids. Options for additional children and longer parties are available.

Kayben Farms Sunshine Adventure Park – Parties start at $16 per person (minimum 8 kids. 4 adults get free admission to chaperone) and include 2 hours in a birthday barn or shelter. Guests are welcome to stay in the park after their 2 hours in the shelter are over. Food, wagon rides, and loot bags are available at an additional cost. Parties available May-October only.

Kids & Company – The daycare provider now offers birthday parties on weekends, with everything provided, from activities to cake and loot bags. Pricing and availability vary by location. You can read my review of parties at Kids & Company here.

Kidz Go – Party packages start at $120 for 5 kids and include private room rental for 1 hour, 5 – 10 game cards, 1 pitcher of pop, 5 kids meals, party assistant and unlimited play before and after party.

Krazy Monkey – Parties start at $188 for 10 kids and includes 8 tokens for each child, 90 minutes of party time, setup assistance, and unlimited play time after party. Food can be purchased for an additional cost from Krazy Monkey. Birthday cake can be brought in or ordered through Krazy Monkey.

Kyle Shewfelt Gymnastics – Party like a gold medallist with an hour and 15 minutes in the gym plus an hour in the party room. Gym time includes a structured lesson and free play for $350+GST for up to 16 children. Check out my complete review of parties at Kyle Shewfelt Gymnastics!

Landmark Cinemas – Book a party for kids under 12 with a minimum of 6 kids. Includes reserved seating, free admission for the birthday child and express ordering for concessions. Regular ticket admission prices apply. Add a party host for $15 or 1 hour in a party room for $50.

Laser CityLaser Tag parties for 9 guests plus birthday child start at $169 on Wednesdays & Thursdays and $199 on Friday, Saturday or Sundays. Parties include 2 games of Laser Tag (takes 1 hour with a 10 minute gap between the games), 2 hours of party picnic table use (1 hour after your games), One large bottle of pop or water per four players, Plates, napkins, spoons and cups for players (1 each per player). Outside food is welcome. Mini Paintball parties for players 8-12. It uses smaller guns that shoot smaller paintballs at slower speeds. Mini Paintball parties are priced at $299.99 +GST for 10 players. Includes 60 minutes of Private Mini Paintball (plus 30 minutes of safety briefing and gearing up), all required equipment, including paintball gun, coveralls, full face mask and all required paintballs, 2.5 hours of party picnic table use (1 hour after the paintball), three large bottles of pop or water, plates, napkins, spoons and cups for players (1 each per player). You can bring in outside food.

Laser Quest – Classic Parties include two laser tag games and a private party room, minimum of 8 players for $16 per person Mon-Thur or $19 Fri-Sun. Additional food and activities can be added. I have a review of parties at LaserQuest here!

The Little Gym of Airdrie – This venue is in Airdrie, a quick drive from North Calgary. Parties involve instructor-led games, plus music, Lego, gymnastics, and more. Parties are from $260 – $310 plus tax.

LOL Fun Centre – Parties start at $189 for 10 kids including tokens, mini golf, 1 hour in party room and unlimited play after party.

Michaels– Kids create a special craft at the store. Prices start at $120 (supplies included) for 8 guests. There are tons of themes to choose from for every age range from 4 to 14. Can’t find a theme that fits? Design your own party for $50 plus the cost of supplies.

The Military Museums – Parties for ages 6 and up are $140 for 8 children and 2 adults (required). The 2-hour program includes a marching drill and uniform try on,  learning to spell their names using naval flags on a banner that’s theirs to take home afterward and artifact handling.

Millican Ogden Outdoor Pool – Pool rental is $200 for 2 hours, for up to 50 people. Includes lifeguards, cash concession, and access to BBQs. (Prices need to be verified once pool re-opens next summer)

Monster Mini Golf – Private party room for 90 minutes, followed by 18 holes of golf, $2 game card for attendees, $5 game card for the birthday child, all paper products and they clean up. You get to golf for as long as you like. Packages start at $275 for 12 kids. Additional party options are available with prices increasing from the $275 level.

Mountain View Bowl – Parties are $14.99/person and include 1 hour of 5 or 10 pin bowling, 50 minutes in a party room, shoe rental and a trophy for the birthday kid. Additional catering is available for your party at an additional charge. Outside food is not allowed other than a birthday cake.

Mount Pleasant Outdoor Pool – Private pool rental is $90 per hour for up to 50 people. Includes use of BBQ and pool toys. (Prices need to be verified once pool re-opens next summer)

Mount Royal University Recreation – Climbing wall parties are for kids 5 and up, and start at $250 for 1-12 attendees. All attendees must be 5 and above and sign a waiver. Staff level of 1:6 during the party.  Large open concourse overlooking the pool and Climbing Centre is available for enjoying your birthday cake on a first come, first serve basis.

My Gym Children’s Fitness Centre – Games, puppets, songs and more. Parties start at $330 (for non-members) for up to 10 kids (birthday child is free).

Paradise Lanes – Bowling parties for $50 – $90 per lane, depending on the package. 1 – 2 hours of bowling. Food available but no party room.

Passion for Glass – Create fused glass art for a creative party for ages 5 and up. Minimum of 6 participants with a max of 15. Party cost is determined by the project chosen. They start at $25 and go up from there. Includes 2 hours of studio use (1 hour for the project and 1 hour for the party).

Pegasus Gym – Gymnastics parties are 2 hours long and start at $250 for up to 8 kids with prices going up for additional children. Birthday child is free.

Petland – Parties available in-store or at your home, starting at $150 (pricing info is no longer on their website).

PopArts Studio – Parties start at $299 for 10 kids and includes 2 hours of painting fun, reserved table(s) for you and your guests for 2 hours, private instructed canvas painting class of your choice and a special gift for the birthday child. Food is not provided but can be brought in.

Ralph Klein Park – For ages 5 and up. Parties include a nature program (Bird Day, Mysteries of the Marsh, or Weird and Wonderful Wetlands) and craft. Maximum of 20 kids for $200 (refreshments and clean up not included) for 1.5 hours nature activities and 1 hour in the party room (2.5 hours total).

Ripe Tomato Pizza – Parties includes up to 2 hours, chef’s hat to decorate, balloons, pizzas for kids and adults and a  unique loot bag. Parties are a $20 fee plus the price of food, drinks and loot bag. Prices are listed on website and you can book your party online.

SAIT – SAIT offers Bowling, Swimming, Zumba (ages 4-12), Yoga (ages 7 and up) and Trojans home game parties and is available for bookings Saturdays and Sundays from 12 pm to 5 pm. Parties start at $262.50 depending on the type of party and food chosen. Includes ¼ slab cake (choice of chocolate, vanilla or marble), one bag of chips per person, one juice box per person, the choice of either hot dogs (beef or veggie) or two large pizzas and generic decorations and utensils.

SensaKids – Book a Messy Party for 1 – 6-year-olds in their sensory play showroom. Parties start at $280 + GST. Choose from Underwater Wonders, Zoo Adventures, Over the Rainbow or Movin’ and Shakin’ themes. Parties include private use of the facility and outside food and drinks can be brought in.

Shakers Fun Centre – Party packages include go-karts (40″ and taller), an arcade, mini golf, laser tag (kids over 5), and a climbing tower (40 to 250 pounds).  Parties start at $189.99 for 4 attraction tickets per attendee, pizza, and pop. Additional options available. Outside food not allowed other than a nut free birthday cake. Skyline Luge – The track runs alongside the Winsport Olympic Luge Track. The track is open in the summertime only. There are no party packages, but family packages are available.

Soul Connexion –  Four different party packages are offered ranging from $275-$425 based on party options. Parties are hosted picnic style so please bring a table-cloth and all of your serving items. All food must be nut free. Parties are non-parented and are designed for parents to drop-off their children. Party packages include up to 12 guests and 2 parents. Additional guests and parents are welcome to attend for an additional fee.

Southland Leisure Centre – Party options include the hocus pocus, surf’s up swim party, sport-o-mania, ninjas & zombies, pump up the music, princess ballerina or Kinder Room parties (with climber, tunnels, and suspension bridge). You can also have an ice skating party at the rink. Fees vary greatly depending on party type chosen.

SpacePort – With unlimited play and learning, children of all ages will be captivated by exciting exhibits and interactive displays showcasing the high-tech world of aviation, communications, and space. See a moon rock from NASA and much more. SpacePort Birthday Parties start at $50 for an hour in the party room. The party room provides space to blow out candles, eat cake, exchange gifts etc! Booking more time in the room will be an additional $50/hour. Can include a stage show for an additional fee.

Speeders – Speeders is an indoor go-kart track. Drivers must be at least 12 years old. Submit the party request for pricing and party options.

Springfree Trampoline -Party includes exclusive access to the Springfree store (limited times available), 5 Springfree Trampolines to jump on with Trampoline basketball hoops and games. Safe, fun jumping for up to 15 kids (ideal for ages 6-12). The rental fee is $250. However, if you choose to purchase a Springfree Trampoline the fee will be credited towards your purchase. Purchase must be made within 6 months of party rental.

Storybook Theatre – Take the kids to a show! Parties start at $250, you get admission for 10 children and 2 adults to a one-hour show and a 3-hour room booking for before and after the show. Parties for 2-hour shows are $298. Private meet-and-greets with the actors may also be available.

Summit School of Dance – Ages 3 and up. Parties start at $225 for an hour of instruction and 30 mins for cake and presents for up to 15 children. Choose your style of dance: princess fairy, ballet, hip hop, or break dance. Includes a t-shirt for the birthday child.

Sylvan Learning Mid-South Calgary – Robotics Birthday Party at Sylvan for kids in Grades 2-6!  Kids will have a great time brainstorming, building and experimenting with LEGO® robots. Contact for pricing info.

Telus Spark – Parties include private studio rental, unlimited dome shows, and a scavenger hunt. $16 per child up to a max of 21 children. One adult per every 3 children is free with a fee for additional adults. $100 for private studio rental for 1 hour. Private Studio must be rented to get reduced party admission rate. Thorncliffe Community Centre Bowling – Bowling parties start at $140 for 8 children and include 2 lanes of 5-pin bowling, 1- 14″ pizza or 8 hot dogs, 1 jug of pop or 8 juice boxes, shoe rental and 1 hour of party room rental. Larger packages for more kids are available.

Thundrdome Calgary – 3 Arenas to choose from for parties all with black light capabilities. Party options include combat archery, turf wars, dance parties, arts & crafts party and balls of fury parties. Pricing depends on the age of the participants and party option chosen. TopplerBowl – Bowling parties are $40 per lane per hour. You can have up to 5 bowlers per lane. The party room is $6 per person and includes a hot dog, chips, and pop. Birthday kid gets a trophy.

Treehouse Calgary – Parties start at $195 admission to the play center, an hour in the party room and 10 tokens. Additional party options and food available. Have your party during the week for 20% off birthday package price!

University of Calgary – Mini University Party for $225 for up to 12 guests. Choose from LEGO Builders or Active Gamers themes.

Vecova Recreation Centre – Swim Parties, Gym Parties, and Play & Splash Parties are available. Parties start at $123.75 and include themes such as dance, swimming, sports, and magic. All parties have a max of 12 children and kids must be 4 years and above. More info in pdf form.

Vin Gogh – The focus here is on wine and art, but they do kids’ parties too! $300 gets you an art party for up to 10 kids. Painting parties include all painting supplies and instruction.  Cheese pizza and juice is available for an additional charge. Parties are for ages 9 and up. Vin Gogh also hosts cooking parties. Village Square Leisure Centre – Parties include: Surf’s Up Swim Party, Jump ‘N Dodgeball Party, Jungle Gym Party, Sport Party, Obstacle Course Party, and Jungle Bouncer Party. All start at $166 for 10 kids.

Vivo for Healthier Generations (formerly Cardel Place) – Party themes include sports, bouncy castle, climbing wall, and swimming. Cost starts at $71 /hour plus the room rental fee. Check out my complete review of parties at Vivo.

VRKade – Two locations in Calgary for a VR party like no other. Submit party information request for pricing information.

Westside Recreation Centre – Offers 13 different themes to choose from, involving combinations of skating, swimming, wall-climbing, time in the gym, and gaming for kids from 5 years to 12 years old. Packages start at $130 for a 2-hour party for non-members.

Wymbin Yoga – Parties start at $275 dollars for the Basic Yoga Party Package or choose the Big Birthday Party Package $355 or Glowga Birthday Party Package $370 (ages 6 and up). All parties include 11 guests plus the birthday kiddo. Some party options include food and there are multiple themes to choose from.

Yogurty’s  Parties start at $12.99 per person. Kids pour their own yogurt and choose their own toppings.

YMCA – Parties in the pool, gym, or at the climbing wall are available at every location except South Health Campus (the hospital).

YouthLink Calgary – Choose 2 activities from 4 fun activity options including Crack the Case, Forensic Experiments, Police Skills Challenge, and Museum Scavenger Hunt. Parties are for kids ages 7-12 and can be booked on Fridays and Saturdays. Cost is $349 for 15 guests and 5 adults. Price includes exclusive Crime Lab access (ie party room, police-themed décor (non-helium balloons and tabletops) set up in the Crime Lab, disposable cups, plates, utensils, napkins, candles, and use of a cake knife and lighter, all activity materials, including thermal colour-changing pencils.

That's a good list, though some of the choices puzzle me. I found DKC 2 and DKC 3 were both more fun to play than the original. I did expect FFVI to be in the top 5, that seems kind of weird. My personal favorite game of all time is Chrono Trigger, so I would have loved to see that at number 1. But with most people I've talked to that played a lot of snes games, they tend to rank Zelda and Chrono Trigger 1 and 2, so I'm surprised that it is so far down on this list. Harold Burton
