Where I grew up, Halloween was the first part of Fall. The weather was usually cool but not cold. Unfortunately, the picture to the left is our street this week. It’s a little bit colder than “cool”. You may remember my earlier post about our costume shopping woes.
Well, we bought a costume but there were quite a few things I didn’t think about:
- I didn’t make sure it would fit over a snow suit.
- I didn’t make sure that it would be easy for Evan to get out of to go pee.
- I didn’t make sure it was worth the $30 I paid for it. The watch (which is Evan’s favorite part) was broken when we got it home & the actual costume is made out of the cheapest, flimsiest crap I have ever seen. If it makes it home from school tomorrow, I will be amazed.
So, like the Canadian rookie I am (ish), I will be heading to Wal-Mart tomorrow to either find a costume that will work or a couple of cheap sheets to make a ghost costume.
