Oh Christmas! I love the holiday season but there is always SOMETHING I’m forgetting. Present for my son’s teacher? Ack! Hostess gift for the holiday party we are going to tonight? Ack! Thank you gift for our postal carrier, pharmacist, etc? Ack! Ack! Ack! All the gifting and all of the angst. This year I have found a secret weapon and I am going to share it with you! This year, I am keeping a selection of Brockmann’s Chocolates on hand for all my gifting (and snacking) needs.
Did you know that Brockmann’s has been making chocolates since 1934? They started their family business in Germany. In 1986, Norbert (the son) opened a Tea Room in Vancouver. In 1990 he started producing chocolatesfor shops and hotels in Vancouver. Today their chocolates are sold across North America. I love supporting a Canadian family business, don’t you?
Ok, so Brockmann’s is a great company because it has been around for a long time and is Canadian but what does it TASTE like? Well, I can tell you…their chocolate is divine! So yummy! I am a truffle girl so I love their Truffini. It is:
- Made in BC
- Natural ingredients
- Preservative free
- No artificial colours or flavours
- Gluten free
- Certified Kosher
It’s available in bulk or gift wrapped for your giving pleasure. Oh and the flavors: Cappuccino, Canadian Maple, Hazelnut Praline, Classic Milk, Lime Coconut, English Mint, Double Dark, Orange and Raspberry. Salted Caramel and Dark Sea Salt truffles were also added this year. So far my favorite is Lime Coconut (pictured above).
So next time you are wracking your brain for that perfect gift at the last minute? Find a cute Christmas bag (from the drawer of gift bags that we ALL have), add some tissue paper and Brockmann’s truffles. BOOM, you have a gift that people will LOVE (or fight over if it is at a gift exchange. Watch out for the elbows!).
Not a fan of truffles? A. we need to discuss our relationship. B. Brockmann’s has you covered with their yummy and crunchy product called Crunchetti. Brockmann’s luxurious chocolate with the crunch of almonds and crisped rice (depending on flavour). Available in dark, milk and white chocolate with cranberries. Yum, yum, yum! Tuck a bag of Crunchetti into a stocking or a gift bag. Perfect. Oh and just like Truffini, Crunchetti is made in BC and is gluten free!
Don’t forget to follow them on social media for all the latest news about Brockmann’s Chocolates.
