I don’t mean to toot my own horn, but this is by far the best bread pudding recipe with condensed milk I have ever tasted – so I stick with my original recipe as much as possible. The ingredient that is the most swappable is the brioche bread. You can use any type of bread that’s on the thicker side, so varieties like:

  • French baguette
  • Ciabatta
  • Challah

How Do You Store Leftover Bread Pudding?

When it comes to storing leftover bread pudding, refrigeration is a must! Bread pudding, after all, is a moist bread, so it can quickly grow mold if left out.

To store, place in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 5 days.

To freeze, wrap in plastic, place in a friendly-freezer container and freeze for up to 6 months.

How to Make Condensed Milk Bread Pudding

Step 1: Prep Work

Begin by preheating your oven to 350 degrees F. Spray an 8-inch square pan with oil.

Step 2: Mix Wet Ingredients

In a large bowl, whisk together milk and water. Once whisked and well incorporated, add eggs, vanilla, cinnamon and ground nutmeg to the milk mixture. Combine well.

Step 3: Assemble

Add brioche pieces into the greased pan. Pour milk and egg mixture evenly over the bread.

Step 4: Bake!

Bake for about 30 minutes. Remove from oven and allow to set for 10 minutes. Serve and enjoy!

  • 1 can (12 oz) condensed milk
  • 1 ½ cups water
  • 3 large eggs, room temperature
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 3.5 cups pieces of brioche bread

Instructions

  1. Begin by preheating your oven to 350 degrees F. Spray an 8-inch square pan with oil.
