Today’s new recipe for the Instant Pot features an easy meatball sauce from scratch that can be used over pasta or in meatball subs. It makes a big batch so you might even be able to have BOTH.

Easy Meatball Sauce from Scratch in the Instant Pot
Ingredients
1 pound mild sweet sausage
1 pound ground beef
2 eggs
½ white onion, chopped
3 garlic cloves, pressed or minced
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
½ cup quick oats
1 (14-ounce) can diced tomatoes, with juice
4 (8-ounce) cans tomato sauce
1 (6-ounce) can tomato paste
Instructions
Combine first 9 ingredients in a mixing bowl.
Mix together with a hand mixer. Shape into meatballs with your hands.
Combine all remaining ingredients to Instant Pot inner pot, stirring to combine. Reserve 1 can of tomato sauce to the side.
Add meatballs to the sauce.
Pour the reserved sauce over the top of meatballs.
Close the instant pot lid and turn pressure valve to Sealing. Press the manual button and use the +/- buttons to set the timer for 6 minutes. Allow the Instant Pot to come to pressure and countdown. Allow for a natural pressure release (ie do not move the valve) for another 6 minutes. After 6 minutes, move the valve to Venting and allow all steam to escape. Once pin drops, open lid and serve.
