Baby Frankenstein Halloween Frosting Board
Equipment
- Large Cutting or Charcuterie Board
- Piping Tip 1A
- Piping Tip 2D
- 3 Piping Bags
- Off set Spatula
Ingredients
- 3 cup buttercream frosting (use this buttercream recipe)
- 2 cup mini pretzels
- 2 cup pretzel sticks
- 2 dozen chocolate sandwich cookies
- 1 dozen vanilla sandwich cookies
- 1 dozen mini chocolate sandwich cookies
- Black Gel Food Color
- Leaf Green Gel Food Color
Instructions:
- Use the Leaf Green Gel Food Coloring to dye your American Buttercream green. Scoop green frosting to a piping bag fitted with a tip 1A (large round tip).
2. Draw the outline of the Baby Frankenstein Face. No stress! This is an easy shape.
3. Fill in the face keeping an even amount of pressure while piping lines back and forth. Note: do not drag the piping bag, lift it above the board and let the icing fall.
4. Use an offset spatula to smooth the icing out. If the frosting sticks, dip it in water before continuing.
5. Once the face is done, dye the remaining green icing black for the hair. Scoop the black icing into a new piping bag fitting with a large star tip.
6. Pipe on the hair, again piping slightly above the board so it falls and doesn’t scrape the green. Give Baby Frankenstein some bangs!
7. Remove one of the cookies from 2 sandwich cookies and place those as the eyes (see photo).
8. Add two mini sandwich cookies as the pupils.
9. Add the remaining black icing to third bag without a piping tip. Cut off the corner making a small hole.
10. Pipe on the mouth and the scars with stiches.
11. Layer cookies and pretzels all around the outside to fill out your board.
