I am trying (currently unsuccessfully) to eat healthier and lose a few pounds. We LOVE burgers around our house but unfortunately they just aren’t that good for you. I decided to try to find a way to still have burgers but “health it up” a bit.
Chicken Burgers
Adapted from this recipe
1 pound ground chicken
1 Tbsp garlic powder
1 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
1 tsp dehydrated onion powder
1 egg
1/2 cup crushed cheese crackers (I used goldfish)
Mix ingredients together. Shape into patties. Refrigerate for a few minutes if they aren’t holding together well. Cook on a grill like you would normal burgers except make sure that the chicken is done through.
Recipe Notes: I loved these served with avocado on top. Dewey was “meh” about these but he generally hates anything he perceives is too healthy.

Cheese crackers? That’s a new one! Sounds good though 🙂 Avocado is a MUST on top of chicken burgs!

I thought it sounded weird too but it works.

I bought the Mahi Mahi burgers at Costco and they are pretty good and I put a garlic aioli spread on them (Costco as well)

I’ll have to try those! I like burger-esque food. 🙂
