Just a short post to tell you that tonight ROCKED! Yes there were hiccups along the way but all in all Holipalooza found it’s way to success that I only dreamed of. There were so many people there and I got to meet so many people that I’ve talked to online but never met in real life. Oh and the silent auction was a rousing success. Often silent auctions are kind of “meh” because of sub par donations but not this one. There was a MOB at the closing at 8pm because people were adamant that they HAD to win (I *may* have been one of that mob). Julie van Rosendaal….you are baking for my fam this Christmas b/c I was NOT letting anyone else win your donation of a box of baking! We were hoping to raise $2000 per charity but I’m hoping we beat that number. I won’t know until tomorrow.
After it was all said and done, Dewey came down to Melrose from the airport to drive my tired/wine-y butt home. It was kind a cool to introduce him to my great big group of social media (mafia) friends. They were all convinced that he didn’t exist and I was totally lying since they had never met him.
Now it’s time to focus on my fam and get my Christmas cards in the mail and my Christmas shopping done. I am so glad that I got to be involved in this great event even though it put a bit of a cramp in my Christmas style. 🙂
