Pepperoni Pizza Triangles – Perfect for Game Day!

Fall is here. For some that means everything pumpkin spice. For some that means everything apple. For others that means everything FOOTBALL. Growing up in Alabama, I have always fallen in the last group. Even if you don’t love the actual game, it is a great reason to get everyone together and cheer on your favourite team. Oh and when you get people together, you have to have great food like these yummy pepperoni pizza triangles!

Who knew that they are so easy to make yourself. No more freezer burned pizza snacks for this girl. Whip up a batch of these and you will be a hero at your next game day get together!

Pepperoni Pizza Triangles:

You’ll need:

Dipping Sauce:

1/3 cup              pizza sauce
2 tsp                   minced garlic
1 tsp                   italian seasoning

Triangles:

half of dippng sauce from above
20                       small pepperoni slices
3/4 cup              shredded mozzarella
10                       wonton wrappers
A small bowl of water

Directions:

  • Preheat oven to 350
  • On a parchment lined baking sheet, lay out the wonton wrappers.

  • Mix the pizza sauce with the garlic and italian seasoning. Set aside half for dipping sauce.
  • Spread a small amount of dipping sauce on half of each wonton.

  • Divide and lay the pepperoni slices and mozzarella over the sauce, again, being mindful of the margins around the wrappers.

  • Dipping your finger in the water, run it around the margin of the wrapper, and then fold the wrapper in a triangular shape. With a sharp knife, place a small cut at the top of the triangle to let steam escape.
  • Bake the triangles for 8 – 10 minutes or until they are golden brown. Let cool slightly before serving. Serve with the dipping sauce you made earlier.

Everyone loves pepperoni pizza! Now you can make your favorite pizza into a fun and easy appetizer that is perfect for game day!

Ingredients

  • 20 small pepperoni slices
  • 3/4 cup shredded mozzarella
  • 1/3 cup pizza sauce
  • 2 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon italian seasoning
  • 10 wonton wrappers
