REALLY Easy Easter Party Ideas

Thanks to my friend Katie for the great Easter Party pics . When you have kids, the year has feels like a continuous cycle of holidays. When New Year’s is over, you start making Valentine crafts. On February 15th, it’s time to switch to Easter. Look, it makes winter less depressing because CHOCOLATE!

This year, why not have the kids’ friends over for an “Easter party.” That’s in quotations because it can literally involve almost no effort on your part.

First of all, think about how excited your kids get for the egg hunt on Easter morning. When they search with their friends, it’s even better! And kids don’t even care if you don’t have real baskets. We used paper bags. If you wanted, you could use this as another craft opportunity with markers and Easter stickers. Oh, and don’t forget your earplugs, because the shrieking also increases exponentially with added children.
If you feel that the kids might need even more sugar, try these Mini Egg Rice Krispie Squares or Creme Egg Rice Krispie Squares. They are probably the best things I’ve ever eaten.

After the kids are sufficiently sugared up,  print some egg shapes for them to paint. Make sure it is washable paint…you’ll thank me later. Oh and you’ll need a plastic tablecloth, lots of paint brushes too.

For decorations, throw some Mini Eggs in a vase. BAM, it’s festive in here AND you have snacks.

And BAM you have an easy peasy “party” that the kids will LOVE. That is parenting winning RIGHT THERE!
