We’re away on vacation this week with Evan. Normally, Dewey and I take off for an adults only vacation this time of year. This year we decided to bring Evan with us. So far he’s having a blast. We’re only on day 2 but we’ve already done sandcastle construction, swimming pool diving, smoothie drinking at the swim up bar & much more.
One reason we chose the resort we did was because they have a kid’s club. I have to admit I was a bit unsure about sending Evan. Isn’t the point of going on vacation to spend quality family time together? Well, I got over that pretty quick. After a quick tour through the facility, Evan couldn’t wait to go back. Today it has been overcast and rainy so he’s spent most of the day there. The alternative would be spending the day in the hotel room with no toys to play with! We promised him that we would pick him up at the first sign of sun.
So far, I love the kid’s club and I like that it is a safe place for Evan to have fun while giving Dewey and I a chance to relax.
My question is….have you ever travelled to a place with a kid’s club? Did you use it? What are your thoughts (and/or your kid’s)?

we are going on a cruise in july that has a kids club. for the jellybean the theme is "scientists at sea." how awesome is that! we are hoping he will want to stay in the kids club while we are at sea, i think it would be more fun for him then just hanging out at the pool. the whole family is going for my parents' 50th but he is the only kid (my sister's kids are 16, 18 and 21!). we've shown him pictures and he seems to be really excited about the arcade and icecream stations! ha! we'll see how it goes when we get there.

Evan LOVED the kid's club. He was so sad when we left & he couldn't go back the next day. I think Jellybean will love it too. :)

Hi there! Just came across your blog. I like the look of it. To answer your question...we have gone to a resort with a kids club but only my son wanted to stay and play. Our daughters wanted to stick with us. As long as it is safe and they are having fun, I think they are great. Happy memories are what you are going for...relax and enjoy your vacation. If he is happy at the kids club, you can get some r&r!
