The Share Kleenex® Care Initiative

Share Kleenex Care Initiative - Merry About Town

Life is busy. We run to work and run to school and run home. Run, run, run. Everyone is in such a hurry that we forget that there are people around us. It is easy to get in the habit of never looking up at those around us, much less speaking to them or helping them.

I’m trying to step off the never-ending hamster wheel. I want to look up at those around me, smile and offer a hand to help when it is needed. When I got the opportunity to take part in the Share Kleenex® Care campaign, it fit perfectly into what I was already doing. Learning to pay attention to those around me and offering them a helping hand….or a Kleenex®….when they need one.

Here’s a little video that tells you a bit more about the Share Kleenex® Care program from their Share Kleenex® Care website.

So for the next 5 days I will be carrying Kleenex® share packs along with me to hand out to people that I meet in my daily life. Each pack has a small pack of Kleenex® for the person to use and one to share. It makes it easy for them to continue the sharing (and the caring).

I’m excited to see how people respond though I am also planning to share the love a bit with those I don’t run in to. Stay tuned for my follow up post where I will tell you all about where I went, whom I saw and what happened.

Make sure to follow along on Facebook and Twitter as well. Follow the hashtag #ShareKleenexCare for updates during the 5-day care challenge from me and other bloggers participating. Want to do your own Share Kleenex® Care experiment? Download a great coupon from Kleenex® and then share your experiences using the #ShareKleenexCare hashtag.

What is your favourite way to show those around you that you care? Have you ever been the recipient of a random act of kindness?

As a Chatelaine Taster & Tester, I was asked to participate in the Share Kleenex® Care initiative. As always, all opinions are my own.

I am a member of the Kin Club of Cranbrook . Last year we went to the local hockey arena , laden with coffee , hot chocolate and homemade cookies. We gave these out to all that wanted some for free! It was the National Day of KINdness ! It felt great to do something nice for people and expect nothing in return.

This is a cool idea! If you see me, please give me some, as my kids' noses are always running. :)

I will, Katie! In our house it is usually me that has a case of the cold weather sniffles.
