Keeping Summer Chaos at Bay

Keeping Summer Chaos at Bay

Summer is coming. On one hand I am SO EXCITED that lunches don’t need to be packed for two months. On the other hand, I am wondering how I will get any work done and how Evan and I won’t KILL each other being together every day for 2 months. Summer chaos is REAL.

As a parent, I know you feel my pain. Here are a few tips to keep the summer chaos (that we both know is coming) at bay. Get them outside to enjoy the sunshine as much as possible (i.e. lock the doors and throw popsicles out at regular intervals).

  1. Encourage your children to get off their phones and get outside! It’s sunny and in the words of Game of Thrones “Winter is Coming!” Get outside. Unfortunately, sometimes that means you have to deal with grass stains and ground in dirt. To clean all those dirty clothes try Arm & Hammer™ Plus OxiClean™ Cold Water Power Paks and OxiClean™ Versatile Stain Remover Powder to keep them looking like new.
  2. Keep a routine! We all know that summers mean staying up late and getting up late. Unfortunately, you can’t put everything on hold. Make sure you little one keeps their teeth pearly white by making brushing fun. Check out Arm & Hammer Kid’s Spinbrush and Orajel Flouride and Flouride-Free Toothpastes  in popular Kids characters such as My Little Pony, Mario, Spiderman and new PAW Patrol. Their favorite character will keep them on track even when on vacation.
  3. Get the kids to help with some chores! Sometimes it feels like I am a one man band around home, how about you? While I would love to have an extra set of hands helping around the house, it sometimes feels like I am asking them to travel the world instead of just picking up their socks. Talk with your kids and see what type of chores they can help with – emptying the dishwasher and setting the table are easy tasks that can give you back a few minutes of your day. Having kids fold the laundry or take out the trash can also be a great help. Make a chore schedule and keep track of when they help out. Reward their help with a fun picnic or a trip to get ice cream.
  4. Stay healthy! Between soccer practice, summer camp and swim lessons summer often means eating quick on-the-go meals. Give L’il Critters™ Gummy Vites™ , a complete multivitamin that any kid will love, to your littles to ensure they are getting all of their essential nutrients!

I think these are all good tips to keep the kids healthy and get them outdoors more.I think sending them to camp for a week or to is good too.
