The last few days I have talked a LOT about beer bread. Funny thing is that I’d never heard of beer bread before yesterday. On twitter a couple from Calgary were talking about the loaf of beer bread in the oven. Next thing you know there were 4 or 5 of us talking about it. Google entered the picture and tonight two more loaves of beer bread were being consumed in kitchens around Calgary. Funny how things happen sometimes!
The recipe I decided to try was Farmgirl Susan’s Almost Too Easy Whole Wheat Beer Bread Recipe. I’ve never visited Farmgirl Fare before but I can’t wait to visit more often to try lots more recipes!
I’m not going to copy the recipe here because I didn’t modify it at all (I did use the optional egg wash). So click on over to get the recipe. It’s worth the click b/c it’s short and simple and the bread is very, very yummy. You can have fresh bread in less than an hour! She also has ideas here for add ins to make the bread new and different every time you make it.

considernig the house is a billion degrees, i don't see any turning on of the oven for a while. i'll have to remember this one when the weather turns cool. looks yummy. i love fresh bread.
