To decorate:
Roll out black fondant until it’s about ¼ of an inch thick. Using a paring knife, cut out 12 strips about 4-5 inches long and 1/3 of an inch wide.
Roll out grey fondant until it’s about ¼ of an inch thick. Use the end of Wilton tip #12 to cut out 48 small circles out of the grey fondant.
Line up 4 small circles on the center of each black strip. Feel free to brush some water on the back of each grey circle to secure it on the black fondant.
In a large bowl, mix together butter, confectioners’ sugar, cocoa powder and milk on low speed. Gradually increase the mixer’s speed to high and continue beating until ingredients are well-combined. These ingredients make up the chocolate buttercream.
Scoop the chocolate buttercream into a piping bag with Wilton tip #233 attached. Frost each cookie starting at the top and creating long “fur strips.” Ensure that the entire cookie is coated with “buttercream fur.”
Place one sash on each frosted cookie, trimming where necessary.
Serve and may the force be with you!
