Living in Calgary, we can enjoy the beauty of the mountains most days. Just look West and you can see the snow covered peaks. Unfortunately, it is easy to take that beauty for granted. Life is busy and getting out of town for a weekend away gets put on the back burner. Plus, finding places to stay in the mountains that are family friendly, group friendly, etc can be hard. Thankfully, this weekend I got to experience a fun new place that is great for groups of friends or families…Mystic Springs Chalets in Canmore.
This past weekend, I headed to the mountains with a group of 14 friends. We were all escaping our hectic lives and our families for a fun weekend away. We stayed 3 to a condo which was perfect. Everyone had their own bed (yay) and there were 2 bathrooms to share. In each condo at Mystic Springs there is one room with a queen size bed and a second room with two double beds. Each living room also has a fold out couch. Add in a full kitchen and you have the perfect hub for your activities in the mountains. Comfy couch to relax on and watch Netflix which is set up on the TV! This couch also has a hide-a-bed in it.
Our kitchen where we hosted a Gilmore Girls and Chinese food party one night! It was perfect. It also comes complete with dishes, coffee maker, etc. Not a fully stocked kitchen from a pots and pans perspective but perfect for quick meals on vacation.

The best part of the entire resort? The warm pool and hot tub. I love that it is open in the winter and warm enough for a dip. Kids would LOVE this. The pool is also in the middle of the resort and their are glass walls so it isn’t windy inside. Perfect for an early morning or after ski dip.
The resort is located on the East side of Canmore only a 15 minute walk to the downtown area. It’s a great location for anything you want to do within Canmore. You can also bring your pets (pack your bags Cooper!).
