Instructions

Step one for making Dr. Seuss Marshmallow Hats is to melt the red candy melts

Melt the red candy melts in your microwave according to package directions.

Dipping one end of the marshmallow into the melted candy to create red stripe

Dip one end of the marshmallow into the chocolate creating a stripe of red.

Place the marshmallow with the non-chocolate coated end on parchment paper and let air dry 10-15 minutes.

dipping other end of marshmallow into red candy melts to create another stripe

Once the first end is hardened, dip the other side in the red candy melts

Placing dipped marshmallows onto chocolate sandwich cookies

Place wet chocolate-coated side directly onto the chocolate sandwich cookie.

Allow to dry/harden completely.

Notes

Attempting to dip both sides of chocolate at the same time, worked but was far messier than allowing the candy coating to dry on one end first.

Attempting to dip and allow it to dry on the chocolate cookie, then flipping it over to coat the top of the “hat” was also not a great success.

While jumbo marshmallows will fit on the top of the chocolate sandwich cookie, the large marshmallows resemble more of a hat.
