This Hot Honey BLT takes everything you already love about the classic BLT but gives it a bold flavor upgrade. This sandwich recipe is simple, satisfying and makes lunch a lot less boring!

Welcome back, foodie friends! I’m Merry, and you’ve landed on my blog, Merry About Town: a space where I share my family’s favorite meals that are both delicious and budget friendly.
Today, I’ve whipped up a Hot Honey BLT and I’m eager to share it with you! The magic of this sandwich is in the balance of flavors. The salty crunch pairs perfectly with the sweetness of honey and the gentle kick from the chile sauce.
I’m guilty of sometimes skipping lunch, only because my days get so jam-packed, I often forget to prepare something for myself. However, ever since developing this delicious Hot Honey BLT… it’s become my go-to midday meal.
What Kind of Bread Works Best for a BLT?
Sourdough is perfect because it holds up well to the juicy tomato and sauces while adding a delicious tangy flavor.
If you don’t have sourdough on-hand, I recommend using a use thick-cut bread like ciabatta or multigrain.

Can you Make the Honey Ahead of Time?
Yes! Mix the honey and chile sauce ahead and keep it in a small jar at room temperature for up to a week. It’s also amazing on pizza, fried chicken, roasted veggies, and avocado toast.
By the way, if you love sandwiches, I also recommend some of my other sandwich recipes:

What Ingredients do I Need To Make Hot Honey BLT?
The best part about my Hot Honey BLT sandwich is that ingredients are very minimal. Be sure to gather the following:
- Sourdough bread
- Bacon
- Lettuce
- Tomatoes
- Honey
- Mayo
- Chile sauce
- Smoked paprika

Want to Make it Even Spicier?
If you’d like to add some extra spice to your Hot Honey BLT, rather than just drizzling honey into the sandwich, consider mixing the honey with extra chile sauce, then adding it to the sandwich.
Fair warning, this will really give it an extra kick since there’s already chile sauce in the mayo mixture!

The Hot Honey BLT Mix is Great As a Dip?
The mayo mixture for this Hot Honey BLT also doubles as a great dip. Instead of spreading it into a sandwich, consider using it for fries, chips or as a spread for burgers!
How Do I Make This Simple Hot Honey BLT Sandwich?
Start by toasting 2 slices of sourdough bread until golden.
In a small bowl, stir together mayo, chile sauce, and smoked paprika.
Spread the smoky mayo on both slices of bread. Layer on 3 leaves of lettuce, 2 slices tomato, and 4 slices cooked bacon. Drizzle the hot honey over the bacon, then top with the second slice of sourdough.
Slice in half and serve immediately.

This Hot Honey BLT is the ultimate upgraded sandwich for lunch, brunch, or even an easy dinner. The sweet heat makes it feel gourmet, while the classic BLT ingredients keep it familiar and comforting.
