There’s nothing quite like a warm bowl of creamy pasta to bring comfort to the table. This Alfredo Tortellini recipe is made from scratch, but is still so easy to prepare.

Welcome back, friends! My name is Merry, and I am the food blogger behind merryabouttown.com, where we believe that a good bite doesn’t have to be complicated (nor break the bank!).
Raising a family of my own, I know how important it is to have easy, nutritious and delicious meals ready on a regular basis – especially when everyone in the household has such chaotic schedules!
Today, I’m thrilled to share with you my super easy recipe for Alfreo Tortellini. Whether you’re cooking for the family or prepping for a week of meals, this tortellini is a delicious choice every time.
What Ingredients Do I Need to Make Alfredo Tortellini?
Wait! Before you begin, it’s always a good idea to make sure you have everything required to whip-up this delicious recipe. For my homemade alfredo tortellini, you’ll need:
- Broccoli
- Packaged tortellini
- Butter
- Garlic
- All-purpose flour
- Cooking cream
- Milk
- Parmesan cheese
- Cheddar cheese
- Salt and pepper

Is This Recipe Completely Homemade?
The sauce to this alfredo tortellini is homemade, 100% – however, to make things easier, I normally opt for store-bought pasta just to speed up the preparation process.
Of course, if you love making your own pasta, then that is definitely welcome (and possible!) with this recipe.

How Do I Store Leftovers?
Once your tortellini alfredo is cooled, transfer any leftovers to an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 3 days. Reheat gently on the stove or in the microwave, adding a splash of milk or cream to loosen the sauce if it thickens.
Can I Use Frozen Tortellini?
Yes! Frozen tortellini works just as well. Just follow the cooking instructions on the package and proceed with the recipe as usual.

Can I Add Protein to This Dish?
Absolutely. Grilled chicken, shrimp, or even crispy bacon are great additions that pair beautifully with the Alfredo sauce. Also, you can use any type of tortellini you wish, and beef or bacon-filled ones are very popular for this particular recipe.
Is There a Substitute for Cooking Cream?
If you don’t have cooking cream, you can use heavy cream or a mix of milk and half-and-half. Just be sure to stir often and simmer gently to avoid curdling.

How to Make Alfredo Tortellini
