  • 2 tbsp minced garlic
  • Half of a large Spanish onion, chopped
  • ½ cup Dill pickle juice
  • ¼ cup sour cream
  • 5 cups chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1 cups water
  • 1 cup chopped Dill pickles
  • 3 medium-sized yellow potatoes, chopped
  • 1 ½ cups baby carrots
  • Salt and pepper to taste
