Easy Crochet Coasters Pattern

Crochet coasters are my new favourite thing! Who knew!

We are vegging out at the cottage this weekend enjoying a bit of downtime. I’ve read a book, enjoyed a fire in the fireplace, gone on walks and crocheted.

I just finished a gorgeous (if I may say so myself) blanket for a brand new baby boy named Carter so I was looking for a crochet pattern for something a little less time-consuming.

I wanted something easy, cute and semi-useful. I also had a skein (or 6) of Lion Brand Yarn Wool-Ease Thick & Quick Yarn, Hudson Bay that NEEDED me to use it.

Instead of committing to another big project, I decided to whip up some cozy coasters for our cottage. I love the colours in the Hudson Bay Yarn and the bulkiness fit right into our cottage decor.

Wool-Ease Thick and Quick HBC Yarn

Since I thought some of you might enjoy a fun and easy pattern that can totally be made while you watch Netflix, I’m posting my very first ever pattern. Please let me know if you have any issues with it or have any questions!

Hmmm....Maybe try making your chain row with a bigger crochet hook. If you make it too tight that side will be too small. Some people chain really tightly so they use a bigger hook JUST for that row.
