Could I split this into 2 8x8 pans? It’s just for me so I’d like to freeze one. Would I need to adjust cooking time/temp?

I haven’t tried it but it should work. Your crust might be a bit thinner as the surface area will be greater. Set your timer for about 3/4 though cooking time and check it as it could take less time to cook.

I love this!! It is perfect. It is easy, fast, and so delicious. I did leave out the chili powder but I just hate all things spicy. My family loves this recipe, too. Thanks so much for sharing it!

The casserole turned out good. I did double the spices as another commenter suggested. I only used 1 cup of chicken broth. I think next time I will try making the biscuits separately and then adding them to the top when casserole is done. It would be a little more crunchy.

I don’t know what happened, but I followed this recipe to a T and it was soupy! The biscuits were sooooo liquidy when I poured it over the top of the base it just swirled in. I popped it in the over and it did NOT come out like it was supposed to. Not sure where I went wrong or if the recipe calls for too much liquid

Could I use 2 boxes of biscuit mix to give it a thicker boxier like topping?
